A trip to Cuba in September 2017 concluded in chaos, caused by the extremely powerful Cape Verde hurricane Irma that caused widespread destruction across its path. Provisionally sheltered at a holiday resort near Varadero - where we intended to stay our last couple of nights for its proximity to the airport - I captured the morbid surreality of resort culture as the country and its people were bound to be torn to pieces. This series is possibly the last glimpse at La Habana and the North of the Cuba before Irma would unleash her rage upon the island.
